Dr. Matthew Seftel is a Hematologist based at Canadian Blood Services (CBS), where he is the medical director for the Unrelated Donor Stem Cell Registry and Cord Blood Bank. He is also a medical officer in Transfusion Medicine. Dr Seftel’s research interests encompass observational data in transplant/cellular therapy, including donor health and safety. He is on the steering committee of the Cell Therapy and Transplant (CTTC) outcomes registry. He was president of the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) in 2023/2024.
